SUN PROTECTION

  • Broad Spectrum UVA/UVB-The term broad spectrum means that the sunscreen protects against both Ultraviolet A (UVA) that causes skin aging and skin cancer and Ultraviolet B (UVB) light that causes sunburn and have immediate effects on the topmost layers of the skin—all sunscreens block UVB (temporarily), but some let UVA slip though. It’s one of the most important markers to look for because both types of light can cause skin cancer.
  • Sun Protection Factor (SPF) - SPF is a measure of how much solar energy (UV radiation) is required to produce sunburn on protected skin (i.e., in the presence of sunscreen) relative to the amount of solar energy required to produce sunburn on unprotected skin. As the SPF value increases, sunburn protection increases. Dermatologists recommend always using a minimum of SPF 30, which blocks 97% of UVB.
  • PA+ rating - The PA rating system tells you how well the sunscreen protects from UVA rays, instead of UVB. The more plus signs that follow PA, the better. PA ++++ offers the most UVA protection, PA + the least.

Using sunscreen is particularly important regardless of whether you are indoor or outdoor.

Sunscreen also contain some depigmenting agents like Licorice Extract, Kojic Acid, Sebiwhite, Nano bright, etc which aids in skin lightening and helps heal the skin providing added benefit to the users.
